To celebrate LDM HQ’s return to the West Coast, LDM creator Todd Zuniga has assembled an all-star cast of lit- and witerati for a spectacular Elbo Room-based night of whimsy, braininess, confusion, antics, exaltation, and other words that give a sense of celebratory fantasticness.

The wild night features a brilliant trio of judges that includes SF comedic mastermind W. Kamau Bell (check out his comedy album Face Full of Flour), Pop Up Magazine producer and New Yorker contributor Douglas McGray, and a third to be announced in no time!

They’ll pass judgment on a foursome like none other, including Litquake founder Jane Ganahl (author of Naked on the Page), writer/activist/showman Chicken John Rinaldi, short fictionist (and LDM SF’s own) Alia Volz, and Jack Wakes Upauthor Seth Harwood.

We’re proud to feature three luminous judges at this special event: bestselling crime novelist, Laurie R. King (winner of Edgar, Wolfe, Casey, McCavity and LAMBDA awards); host of Snap Judgment, NPR’s hit storytelling show, Glynn Washington; and Emmy Award nominee and co-producer of HBO’s Six Feet Under, Jill Solloway!

Four relentless geniuses from three continents jump into the ring. Representing Ireland, novelist (The Tenderloin) and TV director (Your Bad Self), John Butler!
